How can you paint plastic panels and how to do it correctly?

The main reason to change the colors of plastic is to give it a harmonious look with the interior of the room or the exterior of the building. Currently there are more than 2000 shades that allow you to do this. One thing remains - to correctly apply paint to the plastic panels.

During use, the material also turns yellow due to sunlight, losing its original appearance. In addition, its physical properties are also impaired. In this case, painting will protect PVC plastic from such influences.

Advice: If you want to protect metal elements in your apartment from corrosion, use electrically conductive paint Zinga for this purpose, which can prevent moisture from reaching their surface.

Paints intended for coloring plastic

Acrylic paint for plastic.

Nowadays, polyurethane-acrylic water dispersions are used for painting surfaces made of PVC, ABS plastic, polycarbonate, and polypropylene.

They are suitable for repair and restoration of doors, windows, siding, sandwich panels, decorative elements, etc.

  1. Dispersion coatings are environmentally friendly because they do not contain thinners or solvents. They are diluted with water, so they do not have a pungent odor.
  2. They create a coating that has high decorative qualities.
  3. The finish is resistant to defect formation and contamination. It dries quickly, gains hardness and has anti-blocking properties.
  4. Acrylic paints have good water-repellent ability and wear resistance.
  5. The coating has high levels of hardness, adhesion and adhesion.
  6. The instructions indicate that the service life of the finish is equal to the service life of the plastic base itself and is at least 7 years.

The described paints are a thick white liquid.

Note! Before painting plastic panels, decide on their future color. The fact is that acrylic compositions are produced as bases marked A, B and C for tinting in pastel, medium and rich tones, respectively.

Metallized tinting paint.

Such compositions are painted with universal tinting paints and pastes or metallized analogues for paintwork materials on polyvinyl chloride. Tinting is best done using a computer method using a special machine.

The coating dries completely in 10/24 hours. After 4/5 hours the finish is not smudged. With accelerated heat drying, the paint dries in approximately 120 minutes.

Enamel/model paint

How to paint PVC panels other than traditional paint designed specifically for use on plastic.

Advantages

  • durable coating with good overlap of the previous layer;
  • fine finely dispersed pigment for uniform coverage;
  • ideal for small drawings;
  • gives the surface gloss;
  • The dried coating is resistant to water and acrylic solvents.

Flaws

  • long drying time;
  • strong pungent odor;
  • the use of solvent to thin the paint must be used with caution for plastics;
  • not recommended for surfaces with a large painted area;
  • may leave brush marks;
  • Requires primer and final varnish.

Repainting a plastic surface

Let us answer the question whether it is possible to paint plastic panels with a brush or roller. No, painting should only be done by spraying. When painting by hand, stains and marks from the tool will remain on the coating.

Preparing for work

Cleaner for plastic.

You will need the following materials and tools:

  • cleaner for plastic surfaces;
  • lint-free cotton cloth and napkin;
  • the paint itself, as well as the color scheme;
  • spray gun;
  • To work with your own hands, you will need gloves and a respirator or protective mask.

The best option is to use a cleaner specifically designed for plastic to prepare the surface. Its price is low and its efficiency is good.

Plastic often bears traces of the silicone lubricant used in its manufacture. The cleaner degreases the base, removes lint, dust and removes static electricity.

In addition, it softens the top layer of the surface, thereby improving paint adhesion.

  1. Apply a little cleaner to a cotton cloth and wipe the surface with it. Based on the fact that the composition softens the plastic, avoid exposing it to too much force.

When working, observe personal protection measures.

Note! The room in which you will carry out preparatory and main work must have a forced ventilation type. Especially if it's small. Avoid contact of cleaner and paint with mucous membranes and skin; work in a respirator and gloves.

  1. After cleaning, make sure the coating is completely dry before painting the sandwich panel or other plastic surface. As a rule, this happens after 4/5 minutes.
  2. Next, treat the surface with fine sandpaper (zero) and wipe with a dry, lint-free cloth.

Painting process

The photo shows the stages of painting plastic panels.

Read more about how to paint plastic panels.

  1. If the finishing process includes painting, then painting work should be carried out no earlier than 60 minutes after tinting.
  2. Before painting, determine the viscosity of the composition. If it is thick, dilute it with clean water.
  3. You will apply the paint using a spray gun. Therefore, before work, put on a respirator and cover untreated surfaces with plastic wrap.

When painting sandwich panels, you need to pay attention to such factors.

The spray gun should be easy to use.

  1. Desired parameters of the spray gun: operating pressure level - 2/2.5 atmospheres, gun nozzle diameter - 1.6/1.8 millimeters.
  2. The dye should be sprayed in a layer of 6 mm. If the coating is thicker, it will worsen the decorative qualities of the finish and make drying longer.
  3. If the base is light in color, one coat of paint is enough. If the plastic is dark, you need to spray two/three layers of paint.

Probably everyone knows that the hallway in an apartment is its calling card. It is the hallway that greets guests who arrive for the first time, and it is from this that the first impression of the apartment as a whole is created. Why do you need to paint plastic windows?

Painting a PVC profile may be required in the following cases:

  • The frame has faded in the sun, lost its original color, turned yellow and looks unattractive. The absence of a paint layer can lead to a violation of the physical properties of the profile, so it is recommended to paint it.
  • The paint layer can protect the window from the harmful effects of the environment.
  • The design of the room has changed, and the original color of the profile no longer harmonizes with the room.
  • The facade was repainted, the windows began to look unprofitable.

An alternative to painted windows is laminated. Read more in the article “Colored plastic windows - the best solution for glazing.”

Preparing for painting

  1. Plan to paint on a day with low humidity so that air humidity does not affect the paint's ability to stick.
  2. Remove the protective film from the PVC sheets and place them on a horizontal surface.
  3. To smooth out small irregularities, it is allowed to use sandpaper with a grain size of 220-300. Walk over the surface in light circular motions to avoid scratches.
  4. Degrease and clean the surface, remove static stress using COSMOFEN 20 cleaner.
  5. For long-term use, it is recommended to apply primer-enamel for plastic to the surface. The primer forms a protective film on the surface of the material that is resistant to mechanical and atmospheric influences.

Pay attention to the choice of primer and paint - they must match the same type of plastic.

Types of dyes for PVC

Not every paint will adhere to a smooth plastic surface. It is for this reason that PVC windows are painted using special dyes that adhere well to plastic . Water-based PVC paint is widely used.

What paint can be used to paint tile floors? It has the following features:

  • The surface does not require complex preparation before painting.
  • The paint dries at natural temperature.
  • At 20 degrees, hardness will be gained in 8 hours.
  • When choosing what to paint PVC with, you can use either manual application or use a sprayer.
  • Materials can have different textures, a wide range of colors is offered.

Polyurethane-acrylic composition

Water-based polyurethane-acrylic paint for PVC has all these qualities. It is characterized by uniformity of coating, resistance to defect formation, high drying speed, and allows for independent tinting. With its help, you can create textured effects by introducing special additives into the base composition.

The wide color spectrum of this paint includes more than 2000 shades. In addition to traditional tones, they include:

  • nacre;
  • metallic;
  • composition with added glitter.

In this case, painting the PVC profile will give the room or facade of the building originality and uniqueness.

Choosing acrylic paint

Acrylic paint for PVC panels

Acrylic substances are more expensive and high-quality materials. In addition to the difference in price, they have the following features:

  • The surface needs careful preparation before painting. To do this, you need to remove dust and other contaminants from it. This can be done using compressed air, a cloth, or alcohol.
  • The surface must be degreased until it dries.
  • Using a special rag, dirt is removed from the surface and static stress is removed.

What products should I choose for interior work with plastic?

Paint for PVC plastic and interior work

Paint for PVC plastic may differ not only in composition, but also in its ability to withstand difficult operating conditions. Therefore, all materials can be divided into universal ones, suitable for interior and exterior work, and those that can only be used indoors.

If you buy regular paint, the plastic will have to be sanded, then it will need to be primed. It may lose its glossy appearance, as roughness will remain after sanding. You can avoid unnecessary manipulations by using the appropriate type of paint.

Aerosol cans

If you need to paint a small area of a window or other PVC product, you can purchase paint and varnish material in a can. This form of release is very convenient, thanks to it the paint is reliably protected from air penetration, so that a film never forms on the surface of the composition. Aerosol cans have many advantages:

  • ease of transportation;
  • You can easily and effortlessly paint small parts and hard-to-reach areas;
  • no need to use any additional tools, such as a spray gun or brush;
  • dyes in cans have an increased adhesion rate.

Aerosol paints are often used to process PVC automotive parts. In order for the paint coating to be uniform, without drips or gaps, certain skills and dexterity are needed, so first it is important to practice for a few minutes on some unnecessary product, after which, having gained a little experience, you can begin the main painting.

Methods for painting plastic surfaces

Paint for PVC profiles, provided that the work is carried out indoors, should be applied at room temperature. What happens if you paint a whitewashed ceiling with water-based paint and how do you wash it off? This will contribute not only to comfortable work, but also to quick drying of the paint.

If you don’t have a sprayer, you can apply the material to the surface using a regular paint brush or roller. If you are going to apply a second coat, you need to wait until the first one is completely dry.

When using a spray gun for painting, the operating temperature is set according to the room: for example, not lower than 18 degrees. You will also have to take into account humidity - no more than 80%. The room should be free of dampness and dust; it is recommended to spray at a pressure of 2 atmospheres, using a gun with a nozzle size of 1.6–1.8 mm.

Conclusion

From the article it became clear that painting PVC and ABS plastic is not a difficult task. You just need to thoroughly clean the surface of any dirt, decide on the color and the required amount of material (also find out how to paint old parquet yourself).

You can apply it in a convenient way - by spraying or with a roller and brush. Dry the first at room temperature, the second at 40 degrees or more.

The video in this article will help you find additional information on this topic.

Drying after dyeing

In most cases, there is no need to dry the paint; it dries itself at room temperature, but if the room is cold, you can speed up the process by using a heat gun. It is not recommended to heat the room above 40 degrees. The gun should not be aimed directly at the painted surface, and heating should be carried out no later than 10 minutes after applying the paint.

Window paint is applied in a thin, uniform layer with a thickness of 80 to 120 microns. In this case, there is no need to pre-paint corners, edges and hard-to-reach areas. The composition adheres well and does not flow off vertical surfaces. The paint begins to stick tightly to the surface after 2-3 hours.

But its complete drying continues for another two days.

When applying paint, you need to ensure that the application is even and free of drips. If you decide to do the painting yourself, then it is better to abandon tools that require a certain skill. It is worth choosing a paint brush or roller for painting a large area.

If this method is chosen, then the temperature regime for drying plastic materials is from forty degrees.

Recently, when renovating an apartment or building a summer house, hollow ceiling or wall panels are often used. You can find panels in a variety of colors on the market, but sometimes you want something different and the question arises whether you can paint such panels yourself.

  • fast and high-quality surface preparation;
  • drying occurs in a short time at room temperature;
  • hardening at a temperature of 20˚С – from 8 hours;
  • manual and automatic spray painting;
  • a wide range of decorative possibilities - wood texture, mother-of-pearl, metallic.

Not every paint adheres to plastic panels. Therefore, there are special types of compositions for such material. What paint can you paint laminated chipboard furniture with your own hands? Today you can easily purchase paint of the desired shade. When choosing paint for plastic, you need to take into account the conditions under which painting will be carried out.

It’s one thing when it comes to interior painting work, and another if it’s carried out outside.

Painting process for MDF panels

Before answering the question of how to paint MDF panels, you need to understand the composition of this product. An MDF board, wall or facade, consists of several layers of compressed paper and sawdust, laminated with a transparent or colored film on the front side. Most often, it is the top layer that is subject to damage and wear, so when planning to update MDF, you need to prepare the specified types of coatings.

In order to prepare MDF panels for painting at home, you will need:

  1. Sandpaper for preparing the surface and removing gloss or varnish;
  2. Solvent for degreasing the surface from glue and liquid residues;
  3. Dry rags or other lint-free cloth.

These materials are necessary for pre-treatment of MDF panels for painting and sealing cracks and scratches on the laminate.

Priming MDF panels

All work must be carried out in accordance with the action algorithm. The first step is to sand the panel with fine sandpaper; this can be done manually or using a pneumatic tool. It is important to follow the varnish removal technology, to prevent overheating of the surface or the formation of large marks on the laminate. The wood-fiber surface is under the decorative film, so when sanding you need to carefully monitor the thickness of the top layer so as not to erase it completely. After this procedure, the coating will no longer shine and will become rough and slightly scratchy.

Next, you need to clean all cracks and chips from dirt and dust, and also clean their edges. All irregularities, if necessary, are smoothed over with a special putty, which forms a single whole with the base of the panel; it also needs to be leveled with sandpaper.

After the surface has been processed and leveled, it must be wiped with a dry cloth and degreased with a chemical solvent, which will displace and evaporate all water and wash away dust and dirt.

The next step is to prime the top coat with a special paint; it has a grainy texture and can be applied using compressed air or a simple brush. It can be used to cover the surface in several layers, with intermediate sanding, until the required smoothness is achieved.

Next, the base paint is prepared, tinted and thoroughly mixed so that all the elements are mixed together. You can paint MDF panels manually or with a special pneumatic gun, but this will require a compressor unit and a moisture-water separator. The composition is applied with smooth movements in two layers: the first - across the main direction, the second - along the entire length of the part. Thus, the formation of smudges and paint sagging is prevented.

The final step will be to treat the top paper-wood layer of the panel with transparent varnish. This procedure is not necessary, but after it is carried out, the surface of the MDF product becomes glossy, its top layer seems renewed, and the appearance of the entire structure is restored.

Advantages and features of using paints for PVC products

Often there is a need to paint plastic windows or doors in accordance with the color scheme of the interior, to make external PVC communications less noticeable, or simply to protect the material from fading and destruction. To do this, you need a special paint for PVC, which will adhere firmly to the smooth surface of the material being processed.

Required materials and tools

Before painting plastic panels, it is necessary to prepare the surface for painting, prepare materials and tools, including:

  • Cleaner for plastic panels;

  • Lint-free cotton fabric;

  • Special paint for plastic;

  • Protective gloves and respirator.

It is best to treat the surface with a high-quality and inexpensive cleaner. There may be traces of the lubricant that was used to coat it during manufacturing on the plastic. With the help of a cleaner, it is possible to degrease the material, remove dust and static electricity. This product is applied to lint-free fabric. It is used to treat the surface of the plastic. After cleaning the surface, you need to wait until it dries, and only then you can paint.

Primary requirements

The main requirement that such paint must meet is high adhesion. Unlike wood, plastic has a smooth, slippery surface and a very hard, dense structure that does not provide a high level of adhesion between materials.

Also, the coloring composition must have the following characteristics:

  • water resistance;
  • strength;
  • resistance to mechanical stress;
  • resistance to UV rays;
  • color preservation throughout the entire service life;
  • the absence of toxic and poisonous substances that can be released when heated;
  • resistance to temperature changes;
  • long service life;
  • wide range of colors;
  • the ability to give an object a certain texture.

The ease of application of the composition also plays an important role, since plastic windows are often painted with your own hands.

Reasons for the formation of defects

There are a number of reasons why painting MDF panels may be necessary, including:

  1. Mechanical damage to the surface as a result of impact with a sharp object or other material. The top layer of the MDF panel consists of laminated or plain paper with paint applied to it; when exposed to a hard object, the film breaks, which exposes the core of the entire product;
  2. Paint fading, loss of color brightness. This deformation is caused by exposure to ultraviolet rays and atmospheric air, which contains a small amount of moisture. Over time, the coating becomes matte, loses its shine and original appearance;
  3. Temperature changes also negatively affect the external condition of the surface of MDF panels, since the internal structure consists of wood, which absorbs moisture from the atmosphere and at the same time swells over the entire area. When the temperature rises, MDF dries out and may crack; moreover, the glue contained in the panel loses its ability due to moisture, which leads to peeling of paper, lamination and shavings.

These causes of deformation lead to an unsightly appearance of the entire surface and disrupt the overall design of the wall. If these defects occur, you can paint MDF panels after first completing a number of preparatory procedures, but you should understand that painting parts with your own hands at home brings a result that differs from processing with paints in production.

Preparatory work

Before you paint a window sill, windows, doors or other surface with your own hands, you should carefully prepare it. To do this you need:

  1. Remove mosquito nets, blinds, curtains, ebbs and other objects that will interfere with the work.
  2. Free the surface from mechanical contamination.
  3. Remove greasy stains.
  4. Seal rubber seals and other fittings with construction tape to prevent paint from getting in.
  5. The glass should be covered with plastic film.

For more effective cleaning, degreasing and removing static stress, you can use specialized activator cleaners for PVC. They are applied to a cloth, which is used to wipe the surface to be treated. After this, you need to allow the solution to completely evaporate, which takes from 5 to 10 minutes, and only after that start painting.

If the surface has roughness, scratches and other irregularities, they must be puttied and then sanded with fine sandpaper. Finally, cover the entire surface with an even layer of primer. If you have certain skills, you can do this yourself. But if you have no experience, then it is better to resort to the services of professionals.

Stages and technology of painting

The procedure for painting MDF with your own hands is carried out in several stages. They can be divided as follows:

  1. Grinding.
  2. Putty.
  3. Padding.
  4. Coloring.
  5. Varnishing (patination).

Completing each stage is a guarantee that the result will turn out as intended.

Work begins with grinding the surface. This is a rather labor-intensive task that must be performed carefully.

The panels are sanded with sandpaper with grit from 120 to 240 units. The process is performed in several stages and using different materials. Everything must be done very carefully, without staying long in one area. This procedure is carried out in order to remove small irregularities, as well as remove the fine lint that covers the entire surface.

The MDF sanding procedure allows you to get rid of small irregularities on the surface of the board

On a note! If there are milled areas on the front side, it is better not to touch them. There is a good chance that the sandpaper will smooth out the corners of the design.

Puttying

Puttying MDF for painting has the goal of correcting the existing shortcomings of the panel. It happens that during grinding or due to improper storage, cracks or dents appear on the surface. To hide them, putty is used. Of course, if there are no such problems, then this stage is skipped.

The technology itself looks like this: the acrylic mixture is carefully applied to the desired area and leveled with a rubber spatula. After drying, be sure to sand it.

Padding

This stage is mandatory. It is conventionally divided into two processes:

  • Applying the first layer of primer This is done using a spray gun, so the room and place for work are prepared. It is better to cover other items with cellophane film in advance.
  • The mixture is sprayed over the entire surface of the panel in an even layer. This is done in order to raise the remaining pile and reduce the absorption of the base materials.
  • Next, when the slab is dry, it is sanded using fine sandpaper.
  • Second coat coating
      The second layer is applied in order to consolidate the result and remove remaining blemishes.
  • Drying should take about a day, after which the panel painted with primer is sanded.
  • Coloring

    Can MDF be painted with a brush and roller? Yes, but this should be done very carefully. There is a high probability that stains and streaks will remain on the surface. Therefore, it is best to use a spray gun.

    The technology itself resembles priming. The paint is applied in several layers, each of which is pre-dried. It is important to achieve an excellent result, so the mixture begins to be sprayed from the milled areas to the edges, and then passes along and diagonally. It is much more convenient to paint smooth panels.

    To paint MDF you can use brushes and a roller, but to obtain an even layer it is better to use a spray gun

    On a note! To understand in more detail the drying time of the solution and its quantity, you must carefully study the manufacturer’s instructions. And also select the desired operating mode for the sprayer.

    Application technology

    Windows and other PVC products are painted using a spray gun. Before pouring polyurethane-acrylic paint into it, you need to add a suitable color to it and mix thoroughly.

    After opening the can, you can sometimes find a film on the surface of the coloring composition that must be removed. It contains solid particles that do not dissolve when stirred and clog the spray gun nozzle.

    If the paint has been frozen, it should be thrown away, since after exposure to negative temperatures it loses its properties.

    For coloring, it is better to choose dry, but not very hot weather. Work cannot be carried out at temperatures below +5.

    In industrial conditions, forced drying is used for two hours at a temperature of plus 50.

    Sheathing using frame technology

    A more familiar and common option is finishing the bathroom with plastic panels and constructing a frame. This allows you to fix the cladding without first leveling the walls, and also to hide all communications behind the cladding.

    Required tools and materials

    To carry out the work you will need:

    • perforator;
    • dowels and screws;
    • wooden beam for mortgages;
    • guide and rack metal profile;
    • straight hangers;
    • polyurethane foam;
    • corrugation for electrical wiring.

    Preparing the walls

    Wall preparation involves dismantling the old finish and sealing large defects that affect the load-bearing characteristics of the partitions. Additionally, the walls are treated with a deep-penetrating primer for mineral surfaces with antiseptic additives. Also at this stage, water and sewer pipes are laid out, electrical wiring is laid to sources of consumption.

    Note! The electrical wire is laid in a corrugated tube, which is attached to the base (wall or ceiling) with special clamps.

    Frame installation

    To construct the sheathing, a galvanized profile for plasterboard is used, since wooden blocks are susceptible to rotting and warping when used in wet conditions. The frame posts are mounted in the corners of the room and secured to the wall using direct hangers.

    Vertical posts are attached to the base with direct hangers.

    Horizontal jumpers are attached to the vertical posts in increments of 40–60 cm, to which the plastic trim will subsequently be attached. To connect profiles at an angle of 90°, the edge of the profile is cut and placed on the top shelf of the guide and attached to it with self-tapping screws.

    In places where attachments are installed: cabinets, shelves, heated towel rail attachments, and so on, additional jumpers (mortgages) are provided. To ensure that the fastening of the equipment is as reliable as possible, it is recommended to reinforce the profile with a wooden insert, which is fixed with self-tapping screws.

    Reinforcement of the frame in places where attachments are attached.

    A frame for the box is also assembled around the riser.

    Advice! To give additional rigidity to the frame in places where any elements are attached, it is recommended to foam the space between the mortgage and the wall. You can also foam the corners: this will make the frame less noisy.

    A similar frame structure is assembled on the ceiling base for its cladding.

    Installation of PVC cladding

    The bathroom trim starts from the ceiling. Along the perimeter, a starting profile is attached to the metal guides, into which the edges of the panels are inserted. The strips are attached to the cross members of the frame with self-tapping screws and a press washer. To ensure that the junction of the panels is minimally noticeable, they are tightly connected to each other. But there are models with a selected edge, which, after joining two strips, forms a V-shaped seam. Therefore, when choosing a material, you need to pay attention to this nuance.

    After covering the ceiling, they begin to install the plastic on the wall frame:

    • The starting strip is fixed at the bottom and top. It can be glued to the floor covering with silicone to create a sealed joint.
    • The panels are inserted into the grooves of the starting profile and fixed to the frame with self-tapping screws.
    • When connecting two panels in the corner of a room, use a corner profile.

    To make the finish look cohesive, the outer stripes of one row must have the same width. This is calculated before the first strip is attached. Another option to decorate a corner beautifully is to bend the panel and attach it without using additional corners. To do this, 2-3 cm is cut out from the back side of the plastic (the front part should remain intact). After this, the panel can be easily bent in the desired direction to form an outer or inner corner.

    Aerosols

    To paint a small surface of PVC, you can use paint in an aerosol can. This container is convenient in that it reliably protects the contents from air, therefore preventing the formation of a film on its surface.

    Other advantages of this paint include:

    • ease of transportation;
    • the ability to paint hard-to-reach places and small parts;
    • no need to use additional tools;
    • increased level of adhesion.

    Most often, spray paint is used when painting PVC parts in car interiors.

    Applying paint evenly requires certain skills and experience, so it is worth practicing a little before starting the painting procedure.

    Advantages of painting MDF

    Currently, this material is actively used in the creation of furniture, interior doors, and finishing panels. And all of them are subject to painting, which acts as a decorative and finishing coating.

    Its use provides the following advantages:

    • The painted MDF element is not afraid of elevated temperatures - thanks to this, it is possible to use it in the kitchen, where hot dishes will be placed on it;
    • Decorating in non-standard colors will help add brightness and originality to the interior of the room - it can be “metallic”, “mother of pearl” or other unusual colors;
    • The absence of harmful chemical compounds is an undoubted advantage for painting MDF at home - the only condition for this is the use of high-quality paints and varnishes;
    • Durability – applying paint can significantly extend the life of the product.

    Of course, this method of protecting surfaces also has disadvantages. They consist in the fact that the price of painting parts significantly exceeds the cost of covering such products with decorative film. In addition, exposure to sunlight may cause the painted surface to fade.

    Coating protection

    Despite the fact that acrylic paints adhere well to the surface of PVC products, they can be further protected using a glossy water-based plastic varnish. In addition to the protective function, it also performs a decorative function, giving the product shine.

    This material can be used to treat painted plastic window sills and windows in kitchens, where they are exposed to aggressive factors.

    The varnish is applied with a brush and does not require any special skills. Therefore, these works are easy to do with your own hands.

    Fire retardant paints, which are often used on metal surfaces, are also suitable for protecting kitchen window sills and pipes running close to open fires.

    How to cut MDF at home?

    To do this, use a corner, ruler, tape measure, laser level or a regular level (photo 2). You can also cut MDF with a hacksaw. Such a tool cuts carefully and accurately, but very slowly. Therefore, it is recommended to use a hacksaw when you need to adjust something.

    Important points

    When purchasing paint for processing plastic windows, you must first calculate the required amount of material. To do this, you need to take measurements of the surface that will be processed. The exact calculation will be made by sales consultants.

    The cost of polyurethane-acrylic paint composition is quite high. However, the low material consumption and long service life without additional treatments completely justify the costs.

    When applying paint, the most important factor is to follow the instructions exactly. The high environmental safety indicators of the presented PVC paints make it possible to use them in residential premises, children's and medical institutions, and public catering establishments.
