The flooring is preferably made of wood or cork parquet; these materials retain heat for a long time and are pleasant to walk on barefoot. Cork has high bactericidal and insulating qualities, and its shock-absorbing properties will protect children from injury when falling.

The play area is equipped with small rugs with a non-slip base; they may have a geometric pattern - checkered, striped, polka dots.

Large carpets with long pile are not welcome - they are collectors of dust and possible allergens.

It would be nice if they were decorated with additional decorative elements from any materials that are pleasant to the touch. The shelves must also be original. They can be made in the form of a garden fence, an airplane, a complex geometric figure, or even letters.

Wall requirements

The following conditions apply to the walls of the children's room:

• materials of the supporting structure and finishing must be completely harmless to the health of the child and environmentally friendly;
• walls simply must be strong. There should not be situations where a child running at speed breaks through a partition with his body;
• the colors used to paint the walls of the child’s room should be neutral.
