They are also suitable for cleaning tools and surfaces from grease and old paint layers.

Drying time

The total drying time at a temperature of +20 degrees C is 90 minutes (1.5 hours). Painting is possible at negative and positive temperatures. The surface must be cleaned and primed in advance. The amount of paint is calculated from the consumption of 100-150 g per 1 square meter.

Perchlorvinyl paint for facade

The technical characteristics of perchlorovinyl facade paint XB-161 are similar to XB-785 due to the similarity of compositions. An important distinguishing feature for consumer demand is the scope of application. Here it is permissible to process not only concrete, but wood, stone, brick or drywall indoors and outdoors. Quality control in paint production is carried out taking into account one of the specifications (for example, 301-10-908 from 1992). There is no single GOST for this product, so the technical conditions of each manufacturer may differ slightly.

XB-161

The paint and varnish material XB-161 is classified as universal. Enamel not only perfectly decorates the surface. But it also protects against aggressive environmental influences. The enamel is resistant to temperature changes outside, precipitation in the form of rain, snow and hail. The coating resists the negative chemical effects of gases and vapors.

Purpose

Enamel is used to cover the surface of:

  1. Aluminum;
  2. Become.

Used in various climatic conditions. The enamel is based on perchlorovinyl resin. The color palette is rich. After complete drying, it forms a reliable coating. Has good adhesion and protects metal structures from corrosion.

Diluent

From production, the suspension is ready for use. But during storage, due to the components included in the composition, the enamel thickens. To bring it to the required concentration, solvents are used. Not all types of solvent are suitable. This enamel can be diluted with solvents R-4 or R-4A.

Advantages and disadvantages

The positive characteristics of perchlorovinyl paints include:

  • high adhesion to a wide variety of surfaces;
  • deep penetration into the material, which ensures reliable protection not only of the surface, but also of other parts of the structure;
  • coating strength;
  • resistance to different temperature conditions;
  • color fastness (paint does not fade for a long time).

Perchlorovinyl compounds also have disadvantages:

  • the paint should not be applied in hot or rainy weather (ultraviolet radiation and too much water damage the quality of the composition);
  • insufficient elasticity, as a result of which increased demands are placed on the surface - it must be perfectly flat, otherwise cracking of the coating cannot be avoided.

Advice! To speed up the drying time of the surface, it is recommended to add a soap solution to the composition.

XB-125

The paint and varnish material XB-125 creates a protective coating after it dries completely. The painted surface is reliably protected from the destructive effects of external factors. The product under the coating is protected from the effects of kerosene, gasoline, industrial oil, and can withstand changes in air temperature.

Available in the form of a ready-made suspension based on polyvinyl chloride resin.

Purpose

The enamel is intended for painting the following surfaces:

  • Made of wood;
  • Made of metal (pre-primed surface);
  • Reinforced concrete.

In temperate climate zones, the structure can be preserved for up to 6 years. The room should be well ventilated. The manufacturer recommends applying the paint in two or three layers. The enamel should be applied using rubber gloves.

Attention! Enamel is used for interior and exterior work.

Before painting, the structures are cleaned of dirt and grease, dust and the old layer of enamel.

Diluent

During long-term storage, the suspension becomes thick. Before starting operation, use solvent R-4 or R-5. They will dilute the enamel to the desired consistency. Used instruments can be cleaned with these solvents.

Drying time

The drying time is 2 hours. Subject to temperature conditions of +18 to +22 degrees C. The amount of paint and varnish material is calculated from the consumption per 1 square meter of 100-180 grams.

Properties of enamel

Wooden and metal products that will be coated with a layer of XB-124 enamel are reliably protected from the influence of adverse damaging factors. The product is especially suitable for wood - in this case, no additional primer is required; it is enough to apply three layers of paint. This will create a protective film on the surface for up to 6 years or more (if we are talking about operation in a temperate climate).

In cold (arctic) climates, surfaces must be pre-primed using AK-070 primer, which contains aluminum particles. Three layers of enamel on top of such a primer allows the product to be used for up to 5 years. In tropical climates, preliminary priming with FL-03K is carried out in 2 layers, then four layers of enamel are performed. This will help the products last at least 3 years.

Positive properties of the paint that distinguish it from its analogues:

  • high anti-corrosion qualities;
  • preventing the spread of rust, if present, before applying enamel;
  • ensuring a beautiful appearance;
  • ability to withstand temperature fluctuations;
  • resistance to fire, moisture, detergents, household chemicals, oils, gasoline;
  • elasticity;
  • durability.

How to apply it correctly?

Permissible relative humidity is 80%. If the mixture is applied to a surface initially coated with a primer, it retains its qualities for 5-6 years.

It is advisable to degrease before applying enamel of this brand with white spirit.

To prime the initial surface, soils of the following categories are used:

  • XC-010;
  • XC-059;
  • XC-068.

Painting is done with rollers and brushes; if you are not limited to manual methods of work, you can use pneumatic and vacuum sprayers. Regardless of the method of use, paint and varnish materials are thoroughly mixed until a homogeneous solution is obtained. Solvents are used to bring the mixture to a working viscosity; they can also be used to clean contaminated tools and other surfaces.

Before starting work with perchlorovinyl enamel, you need to find out what the surface temperature is. Normally, it should be at least 3 degrees higher than the dew point.

The manufacturer's instructions indicate that the composition must be applied in at least a couple of layers, the thickness of each of them being from 60 to 100 microns. Enamel should be stored in a hermetically sealed container, away from open fire and heat. Do not expose to direct sunlight or wet the paintwork.

Long-term storage can lead to:

  • increasing the viscosity of the composition;
  • the appearance of sediment;
  • breakdown of complex dyes.

When this period passes, the manufacturer is automatically released from all liability for the consequences of its use and further storage. Standard packaging is 25 and 50 kg, which allows you to use one package to cover an entire apartment or large wall.

It is recommended to apply the enamel in three or four layers. If a varnish of the same brand is used, it should be applied in a maximum of two layers. The strength and beauty of the external coating (subject to compliance with technological requirements) are guaranteed.

Enamel XB-785 is used in painting:

Designations of domestic paints and varnishes

The symbols of domestic paint and varnish products are the same for most manufacturers. This designation consists of 5 special groups of characters. For example, the designation “ML-1110 gray-white enamel” has a whole specialized code that can be read by anyone who understands the peculiarities of marking paints and varnishes. In this designation, the word “Enamel” denotes the first group, indicating the type of paint and varnish material. This can be enamel, varnish, paint or primer. Oil paints contain, instead of the word “paint,” the name of the pigment that was used during preparation, for example, “red lead.”

The designation “ML” is the second group in which the initials indicate the type of binder.

The number “1” is the third group of designations, which includes numbers from 1 to 9, indicating the conditions of use and purpose of this material. The numbers can indicate: resistance to precipitation, degree of protection, water resistance, resistance to oil products and gasoline, as well as chemical reagents, heat resistance and electrical insulation.

The number “110” denotes the fourth group, which contains the serial number of the material, consisting of one or more digits.
