In the living room
Dark graphite walls in the kitchen-living room are a classic solution for an urban interior in a classic style. Firstly, the dark color looks modern and brutal, and secondly, it visually makes the space larger. But light-colored furniture and panoramic windows add lightness and airiness to the public area. The latter appeared in the interior due to the dismantling of window sill blocks.

Where can you make a chalk board?
Chalk paint is suitable for any materials and can be used on all surfaces: glass, wood, plastic, metal.
Children's room
In a children's room, one of the walls of the room is reserved for drawing with chalk. The child has many opportunities for self-expression and creativity. Paint cabinets, walls, chests of drawers.
Kitchen
This material is often used to decorate kitchen aprons. Chalk stains help mask dirt. By making a chalk board near the dining table, you can teach your child writing and drawing right at the meal.
Living room
In this room, slate surfaces are rare. Designers set aside small areas for chalk drawing, which can be used as a play area.
Bedroom
If this room is used not only for sleeping, but also for work, it is advisable to organize a chalk board here. The most common place for slate surfaces in the bedroom is the headboard.
How to make your own paint
In order to prepare graphite paint at home, you will need:
- material for rubbing seams;
- acrylic paint;
- a container in which you can mix ingredients;
- a tool with which paint will be applied to the surface (brush, roller, etc.);
- a tool for mixing components (usually a construction mixer).
You need to mix dry grout material and acrylic paint in a ratio of 1/5 teaspoon to 1, respectively.
If you take a glass of paint, you will need about 2 teaspoons of grout. Using a mixer, bring the mixture to a homogeneous consistency.
