Service station workers and car owners are increasingly purchasing Abro sealant because it is superior in quality to similar products. TM Abro produces compounds for the purpose of servicing and repairing vehicles. Sealants are useful and important in difficult situations when it is not possible to contact a service center or immediate repair of a breakdown is required.
Types of Abro sealants
All mixtures produced under the Abro TM are multi-purpose. Therefore, they are divided into several types, according to their component composition.
High temperature
Red silicone sealant is considered high temperature. Abro red sealant contains a reddish-yellow fine pigment. It is this that helps the mixture withstand high temperatures. During the drying process, no odor appears and no acetic acid is released.
Not suitable for use in repairing products that come into contact with gasoline.
Main characteristics:
- Operates at temperatures up to +370 degrees.
- The applied layer should not exceed 6 mm.
- When dry, a flexible, uniform seam is obtained.
- Dries within 24 hours.
- Retains its shape during pulsations and destruction.
Red high-temperature acriplast is available in packages of different weights (42.5; 85; 226; 310 g), which is convenient when choosing a product.
To change the gasket or apply a sealing seam, a tube of 85 g in size is sufficient.
Silicone acid
Abro black on silicone is suitable for restoration work on changing gaskets, insulation, and seals among elements of car parts.
Advantages of silicone Abro:
- Operates at temperatures up to +260 degrees.
- The layer thickness is optimal.
- Maintains configuration during pulsations and destruction.
- When hardened, a flexible, durable seam is obtained.
- Ease of use.
- High adhesiveness.
- Final drying is achieved within a day.
This composition is available in packages weighing 42.5 g and 226 g.
Silicone neutral
Abro 999 is necessary when replacing any type of gaskets on a car. Advantages:
- Operates at temperatures up to +343 degrees. New types have added copper dust and such compositions can withstand temperatures up to 371 degrees.
- Compatible with any liquids other than fuel.
Abro 999 is available in gray and black in 42.5g, 85g and 310ml packs.
Series 1100 and 1200
Abro 1100 is suitable for different surfaces. Characteristics:
- Suitable for insulating and protecting duralumin, wood, rubber, metal, clay surfaces.

Mode of application
The rules for working with sealants are the same for all types of compositions, regardless of what substance is the base - acrylic, silicone, polyurethane, etc.
The instructions for use of Abro products indicate the following procedure:
- Disassemble the unit requiring repair, remove the old coating and gaskets. You can clean the surface with a spatula or use a special product.
- Remove the tube cap and cut off the “nose” of the dispenser. This must be done in such a way that the hole matches the width of the new gasket.
- Apply sealant evenly to desired area. The layer thickness should not exceed 6 mm. As a rule, 2-3 mm is enough to form a strong seal.
- Allow the composition to dry for at least 10 minutes.
- Carefully assemble the assembly without overtightening the bolts.
Depending on the nature of the repair, special mounting guns may be used when working with sealants in tubes.
How to use sealant
For all varieties of Abro, the application steps are the same:
- Cleaning the surface to be repaired in order to achieve the greatest adhesion of the substrates: remove the previous coating, remove the previous gaskets. For this, a special cleaning fluid or scraper is used.
- Open the sealant (remove the plastic nozzle, pierce the foil, put on the plastic nozzle, trim the tip on it the width of the gasket) and apply the required layer to the gasket.
The thickness of the layer must correspond to the type of composition. The mixture is not applied to the areas where the bolts are attached.
- The layer must dry within 10 minutes. Then assemble the product. Just don't overtighten the bolts.
- After a day, the product is ready for use.
3M sealant for car
3M sealants have long proven themselves in body repair. They have a large range of materials for various needs. Consider 3M 08684. This is a one-component polyurethane composition in gray (also available in black and white). Designed for processing seams around doors, joining panels, car floors, etc.
This 3M polyurethane body sealant has the following characteristics:
- Good to apply
- Doesn't spread
- Dries quickly
- After drying it has high hardness and elasticity
- Dries in harsh conditions (humidity, low temperature)
Precautionary measures
When working with automotive sealants, the following precautions must be observed:
- Since some sealants can release acetic acid when drying, therefore, when working, use PPE - gloves, goggles, a mask. If the product gets on an open area of skin or on the mucous membrane of the eye, rinse immediately with running water. If irritation occurs, it is better to consult a doctor.
- The process is carried out in a well-ventilated area.
- After using the product, close the tube tightly and place it out of the reach of children.
Reviews from motorists
Most motorists speak well of almost all sealants for repairing exhaust systems. These sealants are usually used in two cases: installation of individual exhaust tract elements with additional insulation of connections, or repair of minor damage.
The lifespan of a sealant depends on a large number of factors. Therefore, it is impossible to name any exact time interval during which the composition will not collapse. But in general, if the installation conditions are met, the sealant placed in the joint will last until the next system repair, and patches in some cases last up to 5 years.
Negative reviews are usually associated with improper use of products. For example, if you prepare the connection poorly (do not remove rust, soot and oily deposits), then the sealant will not adhere well to the surfaces, and eventually, after a short period of time, it will begin to crumble and fall off. Also, before starting full operation of the car, it is imperative to give the composition time for complete polymerization.
It is not recommended to use sealants for exhaust systems to repair cracks in potentially stressed areas and burnouts in heavily corroded and burnt-out elements with a critically thin metal thickness.
ABRO Hight Temp Exhaust System Sealer Cement is an exhaust cement from a well-known American manufacturer. The company was founded in the first half of the 20th century and has offices in more than 200 countries. Specializes in products for car care and self-service.
How long does acrylic sealant take to dry?
acrylic
– after 2 hours, surface drying occurs, and completely hardens within 4 weeks;
parquet - dries
like
acrylic sealant
, for covering the floor it is very important that the mixture hardens properly, the degree of sealing depends on this.

Good thing, I use it instead of a muffler band. It really seals and seals all defects well. Satisfied with both quality and price.
Pavel, 50 years old
I tried to use this cement when I changed the resonator in the muffler. The result was pleasantly surprising; everything was fastened securely and airtight.
Motorists often do not think about buying automotive chemicals for their vehicle until some kind of breakdown or regular maintenance occurs. Often, for fastening and mounting of some parts, good tightness is necessary. Professional car service mechanics who repair car exhaust systems recommend using Abro ES-332 sealant for this.

Product Description
Abro ES 332 sealant is a universal cement for sealing damage in the exhaust systems of any vehicle. It is based on modern technologies for the production of the mixture. Produced in America.
Due to the excellent characteristics and technical properties of the sealant, it can withstand a maximum temperature of 2000 degrees Fahrenheit or approximately 1100 degrees Celsius.
The main purpose of the mixture is to tightly seal holes in the exhaust gas system of a car. When applied to metal, at the site of damage, it hardens tightly, like cement. During the repair process, a good seal is ensured that does not allow hot exhaust exhaust from the engine to pass through.
In addition, the versatility of the product allows it to be used to repair the exhaust system, only as a gasket. In the event that you need to quickly repair the joints of car exhaust pipes, but you don’t have a repair kit of gaskets or the necessary spare parts at hand.
Often, Abro ES-332 cement sealant is used as sealing rings for vehicle exhaust systems.
The mixture meets all modern certificates and standards. It has many approvals from the most famous companies producing exhaust systems and allowances for vehicles, different brands and years of manufacture.
